Meet Jon
Hi, I’m Jon, the founder of Numbers and Nodes. With a background in software development and a passion for education, I created this service to help students discover the joy of learning and achieve their academic goals in Maths and Computer Science.
Before starting Numbers and Nodes, I spent 5 years working as a PHP developer in the tech industry, solving real-world problems through code and collaborating on innovative projects. Along the way, I developed a deep understanding of problem-solving, logic, and the tools needed to succeed in a tech-driven world. Pairing this experience with my journey into teaching has allowed me to bridge the gap between practical industry skills and academic excellence.
Having worked with learners from all walks of life, I understand that no two students are the same. My approach focuses on personalisation, tailoring each session to a student’s unique strengths and challenges, while making learning engaging, relevant, and even fun.
When I’m not tutoring, you might find me working on my own creative projects, exploring the outdoors, or finding new ways to make education inspiring. I’m proud to call Slaithwaite home and look forward to helping students here and in the surrounding areas grow in confidence and skill.
